Area Stage is currently seeking a position for our Front-Desk/Box Office. ASC is a fun environment where skills in Public Relations and Customer Service can be developed. The individual must be self-motivated, work well with others and have exemplary customer service skills.

Open Position — Coach
Area Stage Company is looking to add highly qualified, enthusiastic voice instructors, acting instructors, and dance instructors to our faculty for in-person studio private lessons and group classes, as well as virtual instruction.
Candidates must possess the ability to motivate and inspire children while having the capacity to connect with adult students. Teachers should demonstrate expertise in their field, as well as an understanding of repertoire and pedagogy through documented teaching experience. Additionally, candidates must be able to develop and maintain a good relationship with parents.
The ASC Conservatory Program offers professional training for young actors, singers, and dancers, ages five and up, developing the next generation of theatre artists and preparing them for higher education performing arts programs and/or a professional career.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience and education.
Schedule:
No minimum number of hours is guaranteed.
Lessons & classes may be scheduled 2-8 pm M-F and 10-5 Sat.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive, age and level-appropriate musical theatre-style instruction.
Prepare students for recitals, performances, and auditions.
Maintain open communication with students and staff and strictly follow all ASC guidelines and procedures.
Be professional, prompt, and proactive.
Experience/Education:
3-5 years of formal instruction in your area via private instruction, a university program, or a professional program.
1-3 years of demonstrated teaching experience working with children.
Voice instructors should be able to play piano at a basic level so as to accompany students in warm-up exercises and teach song melodies.
Experience teaching virtually a plus.
The Area Stage Company is a non-profit theatre and conservatory located in Coral Gables. Established in 1989, it has since become one of the most influential theatre venues in South Florida. Today it also functions as a conservatory, providing acting, dancing, and music education to hundreds of students in the Miami area.
Open Position — ITP Coach
Area Stage Company is looking for dedicated Acting Coaches to join its Inspire Theatre Program (ITP)!
ASC's Inspire Theatre Project (ITP) serves actors across South Florida with developmental and intellectual disabilities who are eager to develop their talents. ITP originated from our belief that training in the performing arts teaches vital tools for life, reaching participants through multi-modal classes within the musical theatre medium and helping them on their journey as they move towards adulthood. Our coaches also travel to local schools to provide on-site training to individuals who might otherwise not have the opportunity to explore and access their natural abilities through the arts.
This is a great job for actors with flexible schedules who are looking to give back to their community. Background in Drama Therapy NOT required, just an open mind and a kind heart.
