OVER A DECADE OF AWARD WINNING PROGRAMS AND PRODUCTIONS
Area Stage offers group classes, private lessons, and professional-caliber performance opportunities to aspiring artists. The Conservatory is a place where young artists can learn from, and perform alongside working professionals. Our students learn and grow from witnessing the power of live, professional theatre in action in Area Stage’s Mainstage productions.
Our in-house developed, performance-driven curriculum emphasizes the three main pillars of musical theatre: acting, singing, and dancing, and has produced hundreds of successful alumni now working professionally all around the world, including on Broadway, in film and television, and in national and international tours.
At Area Stage, students gain a full understanding of theatre as a process. All students receive instruction, not only in performance, but also in behind-the-scenes disciplines including stage management, set design and building, costuming, lighting, house management, and more. Whether you are looking for a hobby to expand your horizons, or your ambition is to make it to Broadway, the Area Stage is the perfect place.
We are also extremely proud to offer our Inspire Theatre Project, a theatre program for students with developmental and intellectual disabilities with a specialized curriculum, developed in conjunction with special education expert consultants, based on Universal Design for Learning principles.
