CONSERVATORY DRESS CODE
All required items can be purchased below!
STUDENT PRODUCTIONS
TOP: Solid black top.
BOTTOMS: Solid black leggings, joggers, or sweatpants.
Clothing should be class-appropriate and comfortable. No crop-tops, pajamas, dresses, beachwear, or any revealing or restrictive clothing.
FOOTWEAR: Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes. No open-toed shoes, crocs, or slippers. Jazz or character shoes are ideal.
HAIRSTYLE: Hair pulled away from face (ex: ponytail or bun), neatly groomed.
OPTIONAL: Knee pads for combinations with floor work.
DEPENDING ON UNIT/NUMBER: Jazz shoes or character shoes.
NOTE: Clothes should be form-fitting so instructors can see alignment. Always check in with Production Stage Manager for further details.
Please remember to label your child's belongings. This includes water bottles, lunch boxes, and personal belongings. A water fountain is available in the studio.
WOMEN
TOP: Solid-color leotard (typically black).
BOTTOMS: Pink or skin-tone tights.
FOOTWEAR: Ballet slippers (canvas or leather; matching color preferred).
OPTIONAL: Ballet skirt (short length, chiffon material).
ACCESSORIES: No jewelry except small studs.
HAIRSTYLE: Neat bun, hair secured away from face.
BALLET
MEN
TOP: White fitted T-shirt or tank.
BOTTOMS: Black tights or fitted dance pants.
FOOTWEAR: Ballet slippers (black or white).
ACCESSORIES: Dance belt.
HAIRSTYLE: Hair neatly groomed.
TOP: Solid black fitted tank, leotard, or dance top (no loose shirts).
BOTTOMS: Solid black form-fitting leggings, jazz pants, or shorts.
FOOTWEAR (STAGE I AND UP): Black jazz shoes (lace-up or slip-on).
HAIRSTYLE: Hair pulled away from face (ex: ponytail or bun).

FOOTWEAR (STAGE II AND UP BEGINNER): Black jazz shoes.
FOOTWEAR (STAGE II AND UP INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED): Black or tan character heels (1.5"–2.5").
HAIRSTYLE: Hair pulled away from face (ex: ponytail or bun).
OPTIONAL: Knee pads for combinations with floor work.
