Broadway Bites is back for Spring Break! Young artists ages 6–14 will create, rehearse, and perform a mini Broadway musical during Area Stage Conservatory’s Broadway Bites Spring Break Camp, running March 23–27, and Summer Break Camp coming soon. Campers will train in acting, singing, and dancing with expert teaching artists, learn Broadway-style choreography, and build confidence while making new friends. The week concludes with a live showcase for family and friends.
Actor’s Workshop: The Casting Lab with Giancarlo Rodaz (Ages 14+)

Actor’s Workshop: The Casting Lab is a one-week acting intensive designed for aspiring performers ages 14+ who are ready to strengthen their audition skills and deepen their craft. Led by Area Stage’s Artistic Director Giancarlo Rodaz, this immersive workshop breaks down the casting process while focusing on scene work, cold reads, monologue preparation, and taking direction in real time.
Students will learn how to make confident, specific choices, work efficiently under pressure, and present themselves with professionalism in competitive casting environments. This lab-style experience is ideal for actors with prior training who want practical tools they can immediately apply to theatre, film, and television auditions.
NEXT ON STAGE: INTO THE WOODS
A magical collision of fairy tales takes the stage as Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s legendary musical’s youth adaptation Into the Woods Jr. come to life at Area Stage Conservatory. Featuring beloved characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, and the Baker and his wife, both productions explore what happens after wishes come true and the unexpected consequences that follow.
With Sondheim’s unforgettable score, rich storytelling, and clever twists on classic Brothers Grimm tales, these productions challenge performers of all ages while captivating audiences with humor, heart, and adventure. Presented in both a full-length student professional production and a youth Jr. version, Into the Woods Jr. invites audiences to step into a world where fairy tales meet reality and every choice has a story to tell.
Spongebob SquarePants: Youth Edition - Enroll Today!
Dive into a fun-filled musical adventure with the Inspire Theatre Project (ITP) this spring and with our Stage I, II students this summer as we present The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition, the Tony-nominated Broadway hit. When Bikini Bottom is threatened by disaster, SpongeBob and his friends must band together to save their world, discovering courage, friendship, and the power of community along the way.
